Designing for Impact
Bring to the table win-win survival strategies to ensure proactive domination At the end of the day.

Overview
DAT — Arte e TangoTerapia PT is a Portuguese non-profit association based in Lisbon with a simple but powerful mission: art at the service of health. Born from the earlier project Decilio Bailando, DAT uses dance, tango therapy, and logotherapy as complementary therapeutic tools to improve quality of life — physically, cognitively, and emotionally — for seniors, people living with chronic illness, and broader community groups. Partners include Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, Sport Lisboa e Benfica, and BGA.
Challenge
As a small NGO run largely by volunteers, DAT had limited resources to build the visual and digital presence their mission deserved. Their social media was inconsistent, event communication was ad hoc, and there was no design system to support the growing team of facilitators and volunteers posting on their behalf. They needed a scalable visual identity for their digital channels — one that felt warm and trustworthy for their elderly audience, bold enough to stand out on Instagram, and flexible enough for a volunteer team to use without design expertise.
Solution
Houbi Studio came on board as a pro bono creative and digital marketing partner. We designed a comprehensive social media template system built around DAT's bold navy-and-orange brand identity, covering every recurring content need: event announcements, testimonial posts, educational carousels (such as "4 benefícios da TangoTerapia"), volunteer and staff recruitment posts, mission and values posts, and photography-forward story frames for session coverage. Each template is built for ease of use — the volunteer team can update them directly without losing brand consistency. We also support DAT's digital marketing strategy on an ongoing basis at no cost.
Impact
DAT now has a coherent, professional visual presence that reflects the quality and humanity of their work. Their social channels communicate with clarity and warmth — reaching participants, caregivers, volunteers, and potential partners in a way that wasn't previously possible. The template system means the team can move independently: new events go out on time, participant testimonials are shared in a format that does justice to their stories, and volunteer recruitment looks as professional as any commercial campaign.
