Augustiniánský Sklep is a premium winery based in Moravia, Czech Republic, with a winemaking heritage dating back to 1742. Their portfolio spans rosé, red, and white varietals — each carrying the weight of tradition and regional terroir that defines Moravian viticulture.

Houbi Studio was brought in to reimagine the brand's label design and extend the visual language into a full campaign system, covering everything from in-store point-of-sale materials and billboards to digital advertising assets.

The Challenge

The winery needed packaging that could communicate both its deep historical roots and its position as a premium product in a competitive Central European wine market. The labels had to work beautifully in print — with specialised finishing techniques — while also translating into high-impact campaign visuals across very different formats and contexts.

Design Direction & Creative Execution

The creative direction leaned into an editorial aesthetic: rich, moody photography paired with refined label design that honours the winery's heritage without feeling dated. Custom illustrations were developed for each label, alongside the application of golden foil — a print-finishing detail that adds a tactile sense of luxury and signals quality before a bottle is ever opened.

Each wine in the range received its own distinct visual treatment — deep crimson for the Cabernet Sauvignon, blush pink for the Rulandské Modré Rosé, and crisp sage-green for the Sauvignon — while maintaining consistency across the full lineup. The promotional visuals extended this language into dynamic campaign imagery, with high-end product photography styled with fresh fruit and dramatic splash effects to communicate freshness and flavour.

Impact & Results

The client was delighted with the outcome. The redesigned labels and campaign visuals are now active across all planned channels — in retail environments, on billboards, and in digital placements — giving Augustiniánský Sklep a cohesive, elevated brand presence that reflects the quality of what's in the bottle.
